"Your room is a little bit adventurous"

Outside ShowerWe have just arrived in South Africa. We stay in The Wedgwood which is pretty cool, especially my room. Have a look at the picture. Have a close look, notice something? Yes, my shower is outside. At noon I like it, I'll have to check tomorrow morning, because currently here is winter season...

More to come.

Videos from Atlanta

AllemaniACs go web 2.0 and so we released videos from RoboCup 2007 on YouTube. Find them on the AllemaniACs' YouTube page. There is a Atlanta 2007 report which has some descriptive text for most of the videos.

Soccer robots in Joburg

Tomorrow part of the AllemaniACs team (including me) will travel to Johannesburg, South Africa. There we will be at the Sci-Bono Discovery Center as part of the Max Planck Science Tunnel exhibition to show our new soccer robots to South Africa (Newtown announcement).

So if you happen to be in Joburg this week hop by and have a look.

World Champion RoboCup@Home 2007!

We made it! We could defend our title and we are the old and new RoboCup@Home world champions.

It was a very exciting and stressy competition and the guys from the UT Austin RoboCup team were quite close.

Now going to the award ceremony, packing and then we'll get a beer or two... Yippie!

We will soon post a few photos on our RoboCup website gallery, there are also some more information in my RoboCup blog.

We got Internet!

We have just arrived in the dorms at Georgia Tech where we are going to stay for the next ten days. Nice cool rooms with Internet :-)

In an hour we will go over to the CRC to get our robots and build them up. We have been told they arrived, hopefully we will no experience another Hannibal story...
