Introduction
There multiple ways to get jMensa installed on your mobile device. This heavily depends on the device you are using. Below you find a list of devices that installation instructions have been written for. If your's is not listed have a look if a different device of the same vendor is described or if you manage the installation with the generic instructions.If you have some time and want to write installation instructions for another device please send an email.

Generic Instructions
Installation via Cable/Infrared/BluetoothThis means that you have some kind of software to install software on your mobile. For example for Nokia you get a CD with the PC Suite or you may get it here. It comes with an Application installer. Download and unpack the zip file below. It contains a .jad and a .jar file. Make sure they are in the same folder. Now install the .jad file with the software. This will copy the .jad and .jar files to your mobile phone and they should appear at the appropriate place...
Installation Over-the-Air
This should be pretty straightforward on most mobiles. You open the WAP browser of your phone and point it to "http://niemueller.de/wap/jmensa/". You will find an installation link on the bottom of the page. Your mobile phone will recognize it as a Java software and will install it on your handheld (probably it will ask you if you really want to install this program). It should appear at the appropriate place on your mobile now.
Nokia 6310i
For the 6310i the WAP method works just fine. Go to the menu and choose "Services". Then choose "Go to Address" and enter "http://niemueller.de/wap/jmensa/". Then choose the installation link at the bottom of the page.You may also install jMensa on your mobile by using a Windows PC. Install the PC Suite on your PC. Open the connection manager and make sure you get your mobile connected via cable, infrared or bluetooth. Then start the "Nokia Application Installer". Choose File - Installation and choose the .jad file (fetch and unpack the ZIP from the download section on the jMensa page). If the installation succeeds open the mene on the mobile phone and choose Applications - Select app. and open jMensa.
Note: If you upgrae jMensa from an older version make sure that you uninstall the old version before installing the new one or the installation may fail. This seems to be a bug in the PC Suite.
