Hacking in the sky...
... is a lot of fun. Although its tight up here. Give it a try!
Hacking at a rail station in Britain is also fun, yet not as much as the first
location :-)

Waiting
I'm at the gate right now and waiting for my flight. Found out that the init script mentioned in ppp peers conf is not loaded if the device is not already there. So no automatic bluetooth loading. Good flight everybody.

Reflection API
The shower is a great place to be. You audio system only gets noise and thus is completely filtered. Your visual sense is bored anyway and often completely shutdown to avoid water entering the system. For the sense of touch something similar applies as to the audio system. There is the same input most of the time, it is filtered. All you smell under a shower is usally just the water (only if I did some sports in my case) and the shower gel. You usally do not taste anything under the shower. So what remains that grabs your intention are just your thoughts. And if they can float freely like this they can fly far far away or way back in time. Today my reflection API got called. Interesting.

Preparing for England
Today was "Tag der Informatik" (Day of Computer Science) at the RWTH Aachen. What I saw was nice. But I worked on the robots most of the time. We are getting into the time phase where more and more hardware problems occur. This kinda sucks. Murphy was also present today. We had two important times when we wanted to demo our robots - both times they failed, just to work a couple of minutes later...
The software competition was interesting and fun to look at. Really have to think about participating next time.
At the end we got free dinner and free beer (free as in free beer). That was pretty good. We were lucky to be in the first group to get food avoiding waiting times of about half an hour or more I guess. There was a Capture the Flag hacking contest later this night. 15 teams from all over the world were competing about the haxoring skills. When I left the RWTH lead the field with quiet some points. Will see later what came out. They are still hacking for more than an hour. That must be fun ;-) They had free beer there, too. Thanks to the I4 for this :-)
When I came back (thanks Helgar for not drinking and driving us four half-drunken geeks home) I started preparations for my trip to England next week (will work on a software I wrote for a company last year, have to put up a page about this some time). There where some kind of creatures in my trashcan that I didn't empty for two weeks. They where greenish and blackish things. Had to fight hard... Now the flat is in a good state again, before leaving forever in two weeks (more about this later, also, have to have something for my blog quantity level ;-)
Tired, need sleep now. Will bring a suprise on sunday sweetheart!

Are you the next Top of the Blogs or way behind?
I have added a couple of new features to our blog space. They are all about the lastBuildDate field in the channel that you can set in an RSS feed.
It will show the time since the last entry per blog. This will be indicated green if the entry was made today. It will be red if the entry latest entry is older than ten days.
If all users blogged within the last five days everything is fine. If someone did not blog within five days he has the possibility to get the ashaming title of "Way behind Blogger". The user with the oldest newest entry (think about it, it does make sense) will become the way behind user and will be mentioned at the end of the page as such. This idea was taken from Buck's new IdeenWiki (see NonBloggerPunishment).
If the users blog is in green condition (entry within the last 24 hours) he has the chance of getting the awesome title of the "Top of the Blogs". The user with the newest entry (which is at most 24 hours old) will win the race and get this title.
The great icons have been made and contributed by Tob!
Go on and blog faster, wider, higher :-)
